The CAR2LS ScanX is a newer adapter that uses Bluetooth LE and supports iOS, Android, and Windows.

ScanX is available at a very affordable price. The size of this adapter makes it easy to plug in without being too bulky. It also comes with a nice case for storage. ScanX is one of the few adapters that includes a power button on the front, allowing you to control when the adapter is on. Just make sure you press the power button after plugging it in or you will not be able to connect.
